This 28 inch transparent Remo Pinstripe bass drumhead boasts an overtone dampening ring clamped between two plies of mylar, which is no gimmick, since this smart construction results in one of the best-sounding and most-loved heads in the drumming business. The now-iconic Pinstripe ring is tightly sandwiched between two 0.178mm Mylar sheets, effectively dampening overtones to ensure enhanced resonance; a short, punching sustain and a warm response.

Een klassieker, de Remo Pinstripe. Dit dubbellaagsvel klinkt vooral 'vet' en is dan ook erg geschikt voor (heavy)rock en dergelijke muziek. Vel gaat lang mee en kan zonder problemen laag gestemd worden. Er zit een stevige attack in. Als je een lange toon wilt moet je een ander vel kiezen (Remo Emperor bijvoorbeeld). Tip: plak een Falam Slam of ander soort sticker (of knip een stukje uit een oud vel) waar de klopper het vel raakt. Geeft meer attack en je vel gaat veel langer mee!Aanrader!

Meer attack, minder warm dan de coated (ruw witte) versie. Geschikt voor lage stemmingen. Erg duurzaam. Ideaal voor live. In de studio zou ik kiezen voor coated vellen.
